The Catalan Parliament abolished bullfighting in Catalonia (Ley 28/2010 , de 3 de agosto, de modificación del artículo 6 del texto refundido de la Ley de protección de los animales, aprobado por el Decreto legislativo 2/2008; Diario Oficial de la Generalidad de Cataluña» número 5687, de 6 de agosto de 2010) ; this law enter into force in 2012. A few weeks later, the same parliament passed a "shield" of certain popular festivities that involve bulls, but without them being killed. These celebrations are known as "bou embolat" (bull of fire), bou capllaçat (bull roped) or bull sea. Although the bulls are not killed, they receive physical and psychological abuse and as can be seen in some images, prone to damage or, at any case, prone to any antinatural treatment.

The program has different testimonies as the one of Carmen Mendez, ADDA President (Association for the rights of animals), Miguel Gutierrez, anti-bullfighting Platform Tarragona and Teresa Giménez Candela, professor of Roman Law at the Universitat Autònoma Barcelona and driving the animal law course, and also creator of the Postgraduate course "Animals, law and society" the first one of a Faculty of Law in Spain.
