The political group Compromís-Bloc presented a motion to designate the city Tavernes de Valldigna (Valencia) as a city free from circus spectacles.
In the voting for this measure, the PSPV (member of the government of Compromís-Bloc), abstained, not giving support to the initiative. Members of the Popular Party opposed the measure, and as a result the prohibition of circuses with animals was not prohibited in this city.
