Santa Cruz de Tenerife prohibits the sale of animals on the Rastro.

The Municipal Government of Santa Cruz (Tenerife) has approved a regulating ordinance of the Rastro of this city, according to which this market cannot sell animals. The prohibition extends to meats and fishes, dairy products, semi-conserved products, pastry shops, as well as pyrotechnics, paintings and phytosanitary organisms, among others.
