Owner of a dog which died due to heat in a car found guilty

District Court Number 16 of Valencia has sentenced a man to 10 months in prison for two crime of animal abuse, after leaving his two dogs in a parked and closed car, with little ventilation. As a result, one of the dogs, a boxer, died and the other, a shih tzu, was at the point of asphyxiation due to the heat.

The sentence, agreed to by the defendant, sentences the author of the acts to pay the animal protector society which assumed the incineration of the dog and the care for the other.
