Man arrested on the presumption of animal abuse for the death of two dogs in La Codosera (Badajoz)

A 40 year old resident of La Codosera (Badajoz) has been arrested as the presumed perpetator of a crime of animal abuse due to the death of two dogs and various infractions of the Law of Citizen Security due to the improper ownership of firearms.

According to sources of SEPRONA [Service for the Protection of Nature], after a report was filed by a neighbor, they observed two dogs who had been violently killed with the use of arrows. After the investigation, they arrested a resident who lived only in a tent in the forest area of the municipality. Within the tent, they found different arms and ammunition, among those a bow with a hundred arrows.

After the analysis of the arms seized, they verified that the arrows had the same characteristics as those used to kill the two dogs.

The events are being tried in the District Court of Badajoz.
