Hunting with “Parany” Technique. Sentence from District Court in Castellón confirmed

Section 2 of the Provincial Audience of Castellón made public on 30 July the Sentence which rejected the appeal made by an individual sentenced in district court for hunting with the parany technique [the use of glue traps and copses to illegally trap birds].

The man was initially judged on 12 July 2013 by Criminal Court 1 Vinaròs, finding him guilty of the crime against fauna with a fine of eight months of six Euros daily (€1,440), as well as a disqualification from hunting for one year.

The Sentence dictated by the Provincial Audience considers the individual vote of one of the magistrates, who considers that the parany “can be considered a method with similar destructive and non-selective efficacy as poison or explosives.”
