Case of two mares with their legs tied reported to the Public Prosecutor

The animalist association Libera and the Fundación Franz Weber have reported the case of two mares with their legs tied to the Public Prosecutor of the Municipal Government of Moaña (Galicia). This is a case of a repeat offense, as this has been reported on previous occasions, though the perpetrator has not been identified.

This typical farm practice (keeping animals with their extremities chained, tied or trapped) is prohibited. According to Libera, since the end of 2010 more than 100 reports have been presented for this reason.
