ABSTRACT:
In addition to a complete academic formation (2 semesters), the Master’s Degree in Animal Law and Society (UAB) includes an obligatory curricular internship. From the 22nd of May till the 8th of June 2018, the student Marie Laffineur-Pauchet undertook an internship at the NGO “People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals” (PETA) based in Berlin (Germany), under the tutorship of Krishna Singh from the Legal Department. This internship has been an amazing experience that allowed the student to obtain a practical view of PETA’s work and areas of concern in Germany, and to develop the theoretical knowledge of animal rights issues acquired thanks to the Master’s classes in a professional framework.
