Visiting the Mona Foundation

Visita a la Fundación Mona
Two students of the Master in Animal Law & Society, a internship student from Lewis & Clark University and a an American psychologist visited the Mona Foundation facilities. Mona Foundation is the first primate rescue center in Spain, which actually houses 34 primates; chimps and Barbary macaques. All monkeys living in Mona have previously been confiscated by authorities as they were illegally captured or kept.
These animals won’t be able to return to the wild so Mona gives them an enriched habitat where they can interact in their natural behavior, in a similar way they would do living out of captivity.
