2º Alumni Meeting of the Master in Animal Law and Society. Casa Convalescència
The upcoming Tuesday 17th of June, from 12 AM to 2 PM, the Master on Animal Law and Society of the UAB will host its II Alumni Meeting in the beautiful modernist building of the Casa de la Convalescència, part of the historic complex of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (C/ Sant Antoni Maria Claret 171, Barcelona).
Throughout the Master, the research group Animales, Derecho y Sociedad – ADS (SGR-GRE) has taken a social responsibility in the formation of experts working with animals, from a compared legal view and bearing in mind the necessities of a global society. But this is not it; the Master has also given students and alumni the possibility to create a network and therefore to organize seminars, courses, and workshops.
On this occasion, Cristina Bécares (Spanish lawyer and associated professor of the UAB), Emma Infante (co-founder of the association for animal welfare “Futur Animal”, from Spain), Agnès Dufau (French winner of the International Cat Care Welfare Award), and Carlos Contreras (doctor in Animal Law from Colombia) will take part in a panel, sharing news and information, and creating a climate of scientific dialogue in order to illustrate the true possibilities of a career in the field of Animal Law. This meeting is the second of a series of gatherings, aimed to all current and future students, and to the public in general.
At the end of the II Alumni Meeting there will be a break, where participants will have the opportunity to exchange opinions and ask questions to the speakers. Immediately after Dr. Andrea Gavinelli from the European Commission (DG Health & Consumers) will intervene in the Master in Animal Law and Society.
We invite to come to this event, which is free and open to anyone interested in the studies of Animal Law. For any further information, please feel free to contact Daniel Parsons (email@example.com) and Carlos Contreras (firstname.lastname@example.org).
