Next Friday, June 8th, the final class of the first Edition of the Master's Program in Animal Law and Society will take place at 5 PM in the Aula Magna of the Law Faculty of the UAB, featuring the lecture “Legal Personhood and the nonhuman Rights Project”, by Professor Steven M. Wise.
Professor Wise is a renowned lawyer and professor specializing in Animal Law. The author of several books and articles, he teaches animal rights law at Harvard Law School, Vermont Law School, John Marshall Law School, Lewis & Clark Law School, and Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is a former president of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, and founder and current president of the Center for the Expansion of Fundamental Rights.
