Summary:
On April 2018, the Law of Rights and Protection for Non-Human Animals was published in the State of Michoacán de Ocampo. Law that comes to recognize non-human animals as sentient beings, and as worthies of enjoying animal welfare. The Law of rights and protection for non-human animals establishes the prohibition of experimentation, mutilation for aesthetic purposes and determines the guidelines for training, shelter and medical care for non-human animals.
