In the framework of the II Global Animal Law Conference, held at the Autonomous University of Barcelona on the 10th and 11th of July, 2014, the Editorial Tirant Lo Blanch and the SGR-Research Group ADS-UAB presented the new series of book called " Animals and the Law ".
It is the first legal collection in Spain, addressed to professionals and researchers interested in the field of Animal Law. It includes publications related to topics of current interest, along with basic books and translations, which constitute a library of legal basis on the relationship animals and law, in a global society.
The first book in this series, which is the first one on Animal Law published in Spain and with international participation, will be on sale in a couple of days with the title "Animales y Derecho. Animals and the Law”, edited by David Favre and Dr. Teresa Giménez-Candela. Notably, Professor David Favre is one of the worldwide founders of Animal Law, he also teaches at the Michigan State University, and publishes in major scientific journals; Professor Teresa Giménez-Candela has a long and distinguished international career, her publications are numerous and accredited in the scientific field, and she is the founder and director of the Master in Animal Law and Society taught at the UAB, both in its traditional version and online.
This first volume brings together the voices of experts from around the world, contributing with their knowledge and experience, making it especially attractive and useful for readers who wants to start learning about Animal Law, as well as for researchers looking for specific references regarding and innovative work.
