Animal Law in Australia

Ven. Alex Bruce is an A/Professor in law at the Australian National University and a Buddhist monk ordained into the Tibetan Tradition of HH Dalai Lama.  Alex specialises in Amimal Law, Competition Law and Consumer Protection Law and he has written texts in all three areas of law.  His PhD thesis explored the potential for Competition and Consumer Law to enhance animal welfare.  Alex is a Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.  Alex is currently completing a DPhil in Comparative Theology at the University of Oxford.
