Animal rights movements and activism in Spain

Abstract: The following article aims to present, shortly, the reasons for the rising of certain movements and activism for animal rights in Spain, as well as to analyse the regulatory laws and framework that protects them and its activity. It is undeniable to recognize that, in the last 2 years, there has been an important increase in animal activism in Spain, something that certainly had been being done for decades by animal organizations and associations, and that for various reasons, have had a great impact on youth and society, and begin to have a more significant thrust.
