For the carrying out of the professional practices that are part of the Masters program, I was accepted in the German organization Animals Angels, which focuses its work on, the so-called, farm animals and specializes in their protection during transport.
In Animals Angels I was assigned to collaborate on the development and implementation of a pilot project of a empathy workshop for children working in the Birqash market in Cairo, Egypt, a market in which the Organization has been working for a couple of years.
My practices began in Granada, where I met the person responsible for the project to study the objective and design the activities, buy and prepare the materials, as well as to develop the production of technical information, graphics and reports for the Organization.
In Egypt, we carried out the implementation and development of all the work involved in the workshop as well as the evaluation of results and reports.
I’m convinced that this experience was very important in my development since it allowed me to experience the operational complexity of an international animal protection organization as well as the importance of critical professional preparation to achieve solid advances in animal protection in a world of economic and cultural inequality.
