This month, March 2015, PhD Tagore Trajano de Almeida Silva was approved as Professor of Environmental Law at the Universidade Federal da Bahia, sharing from now on the course with Professor Heron Gordilho, who he is the disciple of.
Both Professors are part of the NIPEDA - INTERDSICIPLINARY GROUP OF TEACHING, RESEARCH AND EXTENSION ON ANIMAL RIGHTS, ENVIRONMENT AND POSTHUMANISM, a research group that became one of the main references in Animal Law studies and is responsible for the editing of the Revista Brasileira de Direito Animal (Brasilian AnimaL Law Review).
It´s important to point out that the NIPEDA has a strong exchange of transfer of humane resources and intelectual production with the Master in Animal Law & Society of the Universidad Autònoma de Barcelona, coordinated by Professor Marita Giménez-Candela. (www.derechoanimal.info)
It´s also important to point out that NIPEDA has an exchange with Pace University Law School through the Brazil American Institute for Law and Environment (BAILE), coordenated by the PhD Professor David Cassuto, with whom researches and seminars are conducted, and with the Michigan State University College of Law, through Professor David Favre, who promotes the Revista Brasileira de Direito Animal at the Animal Law & Historical Center site.
